Hello,
I am trying to read and write the MSR registers on the Pentium D. I have gone through the Pentium D manuals but nothing is clearly mentioned about how to specifically read and write to the MSRs of the individual processors. For Pentium D, the x86 instruction set manuals for Pentium 4 and Xeon are given on the website. I know Pentium D is basically a Pentium 4. I just need to use some specific command prior to RDMSR or WRMSR so that I can access for processor 0 and 1.
So how do I execute RDMSR and WRMSR for CPU0 and CPU1?
I am working on a project so a prompt reply will be appreciated.
Thanks.
