Hello all,
upon trying to remotely activate the license during the installation of Intel Visual Fortran, I encounter an errormessage when pasting the unlock
code : " The response entered is incorrect".
Upon investigation it seems that the pc of this Intel Visual Fortran user got reinstalled with the Windows 7 OS without having deactivated the accompanying Fortran-license, I assume that the message occurs when trying to activate an already activated license.
My two questions are:
- what do I need to do to "resuscitate" the license that got lost when the PC was wiped ?
- how can I deactivate a license on the client PC (in order to prevent this from happening again) ?
Kind regards,
Jaap

Jaap,
I checked remote activation with Visual Fortran Composer XE 2013 SP1 Update 1 and remote activation doesn't work indeed. You need to use the license file for installation. I sent you the license file. Please use this to install the product.

Hubert,
thanks for the intervention !
We have 2 other licenses that need to be transferred to other hardware, how to proceed ?
Must I deactivate these licenses in order to be able to activate them on the other hardware ?
If so, how can I do that ? I cannot find any part of the program that lets me deactivate the license.
I already went a bit down the road of deinstallation, but I am reluctant to proceed in fear of removing the software and
"destroying" the license again ...
Kind Regards,
Jaap Hartog

Jaap,
De-activation and re-activation is not required at all. For single-user licenses you can simply transfer a license file to another computer (if the tools are already installed there) or use the license file during installation for product activation on that computer.
But you need to take care that a single-user license can be used by an individual person only which is registered as license owner. A license can be installed on several computers, but used only once at a time by the license owner. No other person is allowed to use a single-user license besides the license owner.
If you need more help, don't hesitate to follow up.
Hubert.
