Runtime installer is not enough to run app

Hi,

Tried running apps (including demos) on fresh Windows 8.1 with RealSense SDK runtime (intel_rs_sdk_runtime_3.1.0.85181.exe, 374 MB) only installed and they all report “Init failed”.

Meaning full RealSense SDK is required (intel_rs_sdk_offline_package_r_3.1.0.85181.exe, 1.5 GB) to be able to run apps.

What's the catch with runtime installer?

Regards,
Ivan

Do you have DCM installed?

Not sure what DCM is.

When intel_rs_sdk_runtime_3.1.0.85181.exe only is installed apps are not working.

When intel_rs_sdk_offline_package_r_3.1.0.85181.exe is installed apps are working.

I guess some component should be added to runtime installer.

I am having the same issue.

After compiling the app with Unity into an executable the App no longer works.

When you run sdk_info.exe in C:\Program Files\Intel\RSSDK\bin\x64 it should look similar to the attached screen shot below highlighting the DCM version.
