Splash screen stretch issue

I am adding 4 splash screens as per size given in xdk (320x426, 320x470, 480x640, 720x960) but when I run the app on mobile, splash screen comes stretched. Image is stretching vertically & distorting the circular logo to look like an ellipse.

How to fix this issue.

BTW: We have implemented it this way, it works for MOST Android devices not for ALL Android devices.
