Support of Face Landmark Data with R200 Camera

Hello everybody out there having fun with Intel RealSense!

During my experiments with the F200 and the R200 cameras, I observed a difference between the SDK Documentation (2015 R4) and the reality.

The Documentation [1] says that the Face Landmark Data are only supported by the F200 camera, since it is tagged by [F200]. But it turns out that this feature can also be used with the R200 camera, which is nice.

Now I have the following two questions:

1) Since support of the Face Tracking and Recognition Algorithm is at first not restricted to a certain camera model and most features are according to the SDK only supported on the F200 camera, I would like to know whether Intel is working on the R200-support of these features?

2) Is there any evidence or hint that future releases of the SDK or of the R200 camera, that the Face Landmark Data will be not supported any more?

Best Regards and Thanks in advance

HaPe

We already supported Face Landmark for R200 in latest R4 release and will support face recognition pretty soon. Thanks for supporting RealSense SDK.

Thank you very much for your fast reply David!

This sounds great! I'm also very interested in the Facial Expression, Face Pose Data and Pulse Estimation. Does Intel plan to support these features on the R200 camera in the near future?

We will announce if we support those features for R200 in the future. Thanks for supporting RealSense SDK.
