Sysprep and display settings

We are working with Vista and the newest Lenovo laptops (X300) and desktops. We have a curious problem as follows:

When we build the machines from DVD and install the correct drivers, the display resolution is automatically set correctly.

When we sysprep the machine, the correct drivers are detected in Plug and Play, but we get a small display surrounded by black - not the default resolution. We can go in manually to the display settings and select the correct resolution, but we don't want to have to do that.

What is the process whereby the graphics adapter detects the default resolution of the monitor, and how can we force it to happen?

Thanks for any and all help,

aeoeg.

I have the exact same problem. Using the older"winvista_1544" driver solves this problem temporarily. Unfortunately, I would like to use some of the features available in the lastest version.

I have checked and the EDID information is correct on our machines.

Any thoughts?
