Is the question, why doesn't App Designer have a table widget?
The answer is that App Designer exposes the widgets that the various UI frameworks provide. They don't all provide all possible components. I don't know of any of them that have an explicit table control.
We've discussed adding one, but the best JS implmentations we've found are all commercial.
