Software developers are regularly looking for tools that will help them do their job better or more easily. The Intel Mobile Platform SDK helps application developers write applications that are aware of the system state in order for the application to adapt. For example, the application can become aware of the power status (running on batter vs running on external power) and when running on batter the application should throttle back to save power. If the sysetm is on external power, the application should be more feature rich. This is just one example but the same concept applies to network connectivity or other areas of the system. The SDK supports a variety of platforms and also supports C++, C# and Java development.
