This is created for Aldo's post in the sticky thread.

Dear all,

When triying to activate Intel Parallel Studio XE 2016 Composer edition, after I enter the serial number I get the message: "The License file cannot be saved. Please make sure you have permissions to Intel license folders". Already activated writing permissions but I still getting that error message

Hi, Aldo

Could you let me know your operating system? Is it on Mac OS X*?

Thanks.

Hi, Aldo

For Mac OS, have you tried setting write permission to below license folder?

 Users/Shared/Library/Application\ Support/Intel/Licenses

Please take a look at a related issue from

Thanks

Hi Yolanda,

Thank you for your promptly answer, yes it is MAC OS and yes I already tried to grant writing permissions to that folder. Indeed inside that folder I can see there is a .lic document, although when I am trying to activated from the Software Manager is that I get that message.

Hi, Aldo

Thanks for the update.

So do you have problem installing and using the compiler?

Could you check you also have write permission to access the .lic document located in the folder?

Thanks.
