Use service worker in XDK (Android / iOS)

Hello,

I'm interested in the use of service worker in my app, for Android and iOS. I've read something about it on Google.

Here is a service worker general introduction.

Here is a Cordova plugin, but it seems available on iOS only and I didn't test it yet.

Here is a discussion about Crosswalk and service worker, but sincerely I didn't get the point.

Here and here are similar questions on SO.

I'd like to know if there is a manner to publish an app using service worker in Intel XDK (now or in the near future) and maybe some steps to follow.

Unfortunately service workers are only partially supported on Android only according to http://caniuse.com/#feat=serviceworkers. Currently, we don't have any specific steps required to build an app with service workers.

Thank you for the fast reply Elroy. I think I will give up with service worker if I can't use them in XDK. Anyway, If something will change in the future plans, let me updated.
