We recently purchased "VTune Amplifier XE for Windows" and installed the license server for our floating license product on a machine on our local subnet so we could start using it immediately.
Our IT person has since stated he would like it installed on a different machine but won't be back for 7 days.
Is it possible to uninstall the FLEX LM license server from that machine and install it on another?
Thanks in advance!

Hi David,
In order to install flexlm license server on another machine, you need to update your floating license first. Please login https://registrationcenter.intel.com. Then manage your floating license. Update it with hostname and host id of the new server. On the web page, it says how to retrieve hostname and host id. After the update, resend license file to your email. Then you should be able to start flexlm with the new license file on your new server. On client side, let your users to replace old license file with the new one. Hope this helps.
