Hello im just trying to find out if the vertex shader can be changed or updated on the Mobile Intel 945GM/GU Express Chipset Family as i've brought a new game which requires atleast 1.1 and this is 0.0.
Any sort of help or info would be much appreciated and if i can make it atleast 1.1 so i can play this game without it crashing after playing for a little while.
Thanks Steve

I also have the same problem. Its very annoying as I have spent 550 on this laptop just a few months agoand found Tiberium wars does not run on it because of this. Is there no hope then?? Is it worth petitioning EA for a patch maybe? Would that be possible? I am seriously annoyed.

From the replies we have had, it seems like it is not looking good. From whats been said, it would seem that the software emulation is present, but the game does not like it and requires the hardware. Looks like we have no other option than to sell our laptops and buy ones with the required hardare support. Its annoying because my desktop, which is nearly half the spec of my laptop, runs it fine, even though it does not meet the minimum requirements in a few areas!

Ok.... Listen up peeps before u trash ur loverly laptops, heres what I know.
Command and Conquer 3 Tiberiam Wars works fine with the Intel 945 GM chipset.
In C&C3 settings just set ur shaders to medium, everything else as low as possible or just low. 1024 x 768 will work better than 800x 600, dont ask me why, it just does. I have just 128 graphics memory and 512k main memory, It works fine. I have INTEL centrino duo Packard Bell Easynote MV laptop, Running XP Home.
Big Love all,
Johnny.

That's only true for the Q963/965. The G965 has both hardware pixel and vertex shaders (as well as hardware T&L)
