In short, why there is no option to start a poll when you create a new thread?

I want polls too. Let's take a vote. Should we have polls? (Yes/No)
I'm voting Yes.

I would like to see the following polls:
For Watercooler (but there should be a room for discussing forum issues):
Q1: "Should we switch to standard, more mature, and option ritch forum software such as vBulletin?"
For Intel C/C++ Compiler:
Q1: "Should all Intel Compiler Professional components still be available as a separate download?"
Q2: "Should we change the folder hierarchy for Intel Compiler Professional in such a way that you don't have to change INCLUDE, LIB and PATH as well as Visual Studio paths each time you update any of the components?"
For AVX:
Q1: "Should we add FMA even if first implementation isn't faster than MUL+ADD?"
Q2: "Should we add SCATTER/GATHER instructions?"
That's it for now.

Hi Igor,
As for the forum platform, as I'm sure you remember, we switched most recently *from* vBulletin to the current in-house solution -- as such, it's potentially as option-rich as our development team can make it. We'd be happy to continue to forward them feedback about features you'd like to see here.
We'd suggest proposing the additional topics in their respective forums, where the topic moderators as well as other community members will see your suggestions.

Are you kidding me? Those guys developing the forum software can't even fix the
tag font style issue I reported several months ago let alone implement something like tooltips which show a preview of a first post in a thread when you mouse-over its title in the thread list.
As for the topics proposal, what is the point if they can't be made into polls?
