Why is new license not recognized?

I have been using the 30 day trial copy of the Intel Fortran compiler through an existing installation of Visual Studio 2008. I just got a new license from the project manager. I downloaded and ran the install file labelled "for users with Visual Studio 2008 already installed". Now when I bring up Visual Studio 2008 and try to build my Fortran project, I get a license expired error. Why is new license not recognized? How do I get my new install to work?
