Hello all,
I haveobsolete OEM software application for mechanical engineeringwhichrunning on Penthium III computer withWindows NTO/S.We want to keep OEM softeare application and to upgrade the computer to the latest version(Core 2 Duo Processor computer) to make faster.BUTthe WinNT didn't succeed to be install on latest computer. I know that WinNT is 32-bit O/S while Core2duo is 64 bit.
Q1: Is there anyway to speed-up the computerby replacing with the latest computer or modifying the processor or whatever ?
thanks

WinNT should install fine on Core 2 Duo. There must be some other reason that the installation failed. Perhaps you could review the failure messages in more detail to see exactly what the problem is.
Virtualization could become part of your solution, of course. After installing a hypervisor (VMM), you could create a WinNT guest (VM) to run on it. Running legacy operating systems and software environments is among thekeyuse casesmotivatingvirtualization.
