Dear Intel Support,
Good day :)
I was really excited to know that intel provides hardware accelerator for emulating android apps. But, when I try to install it on my computer (Windows7 - 64bit) I get following pop-up error.
"This computer does not support Intel Executable Disable Bit (XD) or it is disable in the BIOS. HAXM cannot be installed."
I tried following command at command line and rebooted and then tried re-installing but it failed again.
bcdedit /set nx AlwaysOn
Please find my PC config and pop-up error in the attachment.
Can you please help in this regard?
Thank you in advance,
BR,
Naveed

Try this: download and run CPUID from the following URL:
http://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalCPUID/index-e.html
Post a screenshot of the result here - that will tell us whether your specific CPU supports the Execute Disable Bit (XD).

Hi Josh Bancroft,
Thank you very much for your reply.
Please find my CPUID screen shot in the attachment. By looking at screenshot it seems that XD/NX is not supported on my CPU. Is it?
In this case, Is there any workaround or solution?
Thank you,
BR,
Naveed

HAXM requires the Execute Disable bit (XD) hardware functionality to work. I don't know of a way to make it work on a system where that hardware feature is missing. Sorry. :-(
