XDK 1878 wifi / local apps testing not working

Hello All...

In the App Preview app, I'm using the "Local Apps" (WiFi) testing on my Android phone (S5) and my iPhone.  In both cases, I get a message:

Unable to retrieve app from the cloud server.
Did you use the Test tab in the Intel XDK to push/synch the project files to the server?

All was working ok before I upgraded to XDK 1878.  I have clicked the "Update Server" button (in the XDK Test Tab, Wifi button selected) to no avail.  I've also tested to make sure my phone is on WiFi and has connectivity to my computer's XDK web server on the LAN... IE the browser can connect to the port where I get a message "Cannot GET /" (kinda expected, but just proving that my phone can reach the local XDK web server through the LAN/WiFi.)

The mobile ("Server Apps" tab) testing works fine, but I'd rather stay with the faster wifi testing if possible.

I've looked for an updated app but cannot find one in either app store.  Maybe I just need to wait for one?

Help?

Thanks,
Andrew

Have the same problem. Server function was down yesterday.

Verified. We also happened to push server side code on Monday, typically we dont do this so we can decipher XDK vs server side issues.

I am pretty sure this is a server side issue, but will have the devs look into it asap.

Thanks John... Glad to hear it isn't just me.

PS Surprised to hear that the app needs the server/cloud to do a LAN WiFi test?

Dear All,

The Intel AppPreview has been updated on Google play and the problem above was resolved, BUT the Android Cordova build is still having a bug that prevents app fro getting data from domains even with the * added in the Build tab.
