XDK Not Ready for Prime Time?

Reading all the hype, I really wanted to like this product. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem ready for prime time.

I've only been using it about 15 minutes and don't think it's worth continuing unless someone can tell me how I'm being stupid. I might be able to put up with the Brackets editor instead of Sublime but doing something as simple as attempting to switch between open files (CTRL + Tab) results in the XDK tabs switching also. The Brackets editor does appear to be switching files but XDK also overlays the editor with a panel which contains icons which match the workflow tabs (Develop, Emulate, Test, etc). When the keys are released, XDK switches to the tab represented by the selected icon. (see attached screenshot)

I know that it is possible to use Sublime instead but there were other minor issues which add up and don't bode well for quality control. There is no way anyone could use this for more than a couple minutes without noticing something that the only way to switch between files is to use the mouse. I'm using a Windows machine -- maybe it work correctly on a Mac?

This tool looks like a great idea which is getting feature updates before it's actually ready to be used.

Please tell me I'm wrong (and why).

Thanks for the feedback, we're working on the issues that have been raised in this release. See the top post if you would prefer to try the prior release as a comparison. We are aware of the Ctrl-Tab conflict and are working on a solution to that problem.

@Jeff, since you obviously aren't in the market for a new text editor, and since the XDK would be a poor choice as a "text editor," it seems like you might want to evaluate the tool for its usefulness in the build/test/deploy lifecycle, since that appears to be its primary focus (and I guess the GUI builder, which I have no interest in, but some people like it).
