Dear All,
I install mpss-3.6.1 on CentOS 7, but cannot start mpss service:
Job for mpss.service failed. See 'systemctl status mpss.service' and 'journalctl -xn' for details.
I also failed to update the flash and SMC firmware. Is it necessary after installing and need to connect to the Internet to do so?
It is a C0 stepping SKU so I typed "micflash -update -device all", but several minutes later, such messages occur:
mic0: Flash image: /usr/share/mpss/flash/EXT_HP2_C0_0391-02.rom.smc
mic0: Flash update started
micflash: micflash: mic0: Flash operation timed out due to a corrupted image file or an internal error.
mic0: Transitioning to ready state
Then I used "micctrl –rw" to set mic to 'ready' state, and typed "micctrl --initdefaults" to set default configure.
The "micctrl --config" results are as below:
mic0:

Hello,
Does your host computer support Intel(R) Xeon Phi(TM) coprocessors? please check with your OEM. Also, the BIOS must support memory mapped I/O above 4GB. Thank you.
