could someone please go to the command line icon, open properties and tell me what the default line is for "working"? i changed it and cant find where i wrote the original. it used to take me to myprojects or some such thing but i cant remember the path. thanks in advance

Which command line icon do you mean? As Visual Fortran installs it, the Fortran Command Prompt shortcut starts you in %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH% You can change it to anything you want.

thats interesting. mine for whatever reason defaulted to ...commonmsdevmyprojects (this is the entry to be found via properties-->program-->working). thanks.

You must have DVF V5, and are probably on Windows 9x.
