displaying both graphics and text

I open three child windows: one I use for graphics, the other two for text.
(all three are opened in the same way).
Everything works fine except it appears that one of the text windows only displays a small amount of the output. Not the very beginning and not the end, only about the 2nd tenth of the output is displayed.

How do I make it show me all of the output?

Also, SETWINDOWCONFIG: should this be placed before I open the child windows or where? Which windows does this effect?

Lastly, How do I get rid of the default "graphic1" window?
