I have an expired edition whose sn would let me upgrade to the current XE Cluster edition for a attractive price, but the amount of use I give such tools does not really justify the ssr for it in the future, and I wondered if I can get some lesser products ssr for the future after one year or am I locked in?
I would anticipate that I would want the Composer C++ or an INDE Ultimate after the first year, would such be available when I enter my sn at https://registrationcenter.intel.com/serialnumberlookup.aspx or would such if permitted by a special request?

Sure, but unless the https://registrationcenter.intel.com/serialnumberlookup.aspx is wrong, I am eligible. The question is whether I can downgrade in a year from a Windows Cluster edition to a C++ Composer?

I checked with our internal team. Unfortunately we don't have downgrade offering. Sorry for that.
Thanks.
