I installed Warcraft - III game, in my computer, but just after starting the game , my computer gets hanged then it shows the following problem - "Windows - Display Driver Stopped Responding. Theigxprd32 display driver has stopped working normally. Save yourwork and reboot the system to restore full display functionality."

i thought the game is not supporting my computers config, but when i used "system requirement labs" game compatibility tool it clearly shows that the game will run in my computer. then i updated chipset, graphics & audio driver, but still i face the problem.

my computer configuration is as follows -

I have a similar problem, but I have a mobile intel 965 Express Chipset Family integrated graphics.

If I use Firefox or play games when the following message appears "Windows - Display Driver Stopped Responding. Theigxprd32 display driver has stopped working normally"and "Save yourwork and reboot the system to restore full display functionality."

I tried older and newer drivers, but the Drivers didn't help.

Can someone help me?

I have the same problem. My Laptop notebook is ACER Aspire 4720 which has Intel graphic medai accelerator X3100
Or Intel Chipset 965 (on board) And I have the same problem when I lauching Warcraft III . When the begining screen of the game is appearing by sliding down (which include title buttons such as Single player, Local area network ,credit ,Quit) The game is hanged and not response for a while. Not long from then , there is a message box said about igxprd32.dll not working and the system will shutdown to prevent a damage from the application (Acually , sometime this appear as Blue screen!)
Plz, Answer our question if this problem has the method to solve. Thanks

Well, to the Warcraft III crash. I have X3100 in my laptop, and after updating the video driver to newer one (6.14.10.5002) Warcraft III the intel driver crashes right after startup. There is this message "igxprd32" stopped working. Sometimes it ends in BSOD, sometimes in 640x480 resolution and 4-bit color depth. Either way restart of Windows is inevitable.

However, after doing some googling, I have found this:

if you append some of these three things after the "Target:" in shortcut properties, the game will run normally.

-swtnl (software transform and lightning, the processor now does everything instead of the graphics card)
-openg
-d3d (the default, but somehow if it is not there, it will CRASH)

It has to look like this one:
"C:Warcraft IIIFrozen Throne.exe" -d3d

I am using the third one, but I have to admit that once the driver crashed EVEN with the third one in place. But I think that was just a coincidence.

I know that GM965 (x3100) is not intended to run games. But with the previous version of the driver it WORKED, so why it shouldn't keep working in the newer ones?

The second one should be "-opengl", not "-openg". I don't know how to edit my post, otherwise I would correct it myself.

Unfortunately, the "-d3d" does not work correctly. The driver does not crash right after Warcraft III startup, but now it happens randomly. For example when you click on something in the menu. Moreover, yesterday it crashed while I was playing some video file.

So either you have to use the older driver as was said in the second or third post, or you use the "-swtnl" or "-opengl" flags.
