Hello
I registered the academic research license, received a product serial number, downloaded the license file and copied to where gentoo requires the file to be copied. When I try to install the ifc (I use distribution provided by gentoo rather then downloading tarballs from intel site) it install fortran and then I get a message:
>>> Original instance of package unmerged safely.
* Function test failed. Most probably due to an invalid license.
* This means you already tried to bypass the license check once.
* Make sure you have received an Intel license.
* To receive a non-commercial license, you need to register at:
* https://software.intel.com/en-us/qualify-for-free-software
* Install the license file into /opt/intel/composerxe-2015_update6.6.233/licenses/
Any hint what may be cause to this problem?
Thanks
Adam J.

Hi, Adm
Do you have a non-commercial license to run Intel Fortran?
If not yet, please follow the instructions in the message to get one from:
https://software.intel.com/en-us/qualify-for-free-software
Then put the license file under license file into /opt/intel/composerxe-2015_update6.6.233/licenses/
For how to get a license file, you may refer to:
https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/licensing-faq
Hope this helps.
Thanks.

I've signed for the non-commercial license and downloded the license file and with that file I get the error message when I try to install the ifc on gentoo
Thanks

Hi, Adam
Have you run configured the ifort environment setting script?
Try:
source /opt/intel/composerxe-2015_update6.6.233/bin/compilervars.sh <arg>
-
<arg>
is one of the following architecture arguments:-
intel64
: Compilers and libraries for Intel® 64 architectures only -
ia32
: Compilers and libraries for IA-32 architectures only
-
Thanks.
