I just purchased a toshiba m500, vista home premium, 64 bit. Graphics card is Mobile Intel 4 Express Chipset with 4500mhd adapter. I want to use the laptop with a samsung syncmaster 2443BW with native resolution of 1920x1200. I have tried driver upgrades, setting changes, re-booting. I cannot get the option of adding or selecting this resolution in the display settings panel, or the intel display properties box. I know the monitor is capable as it was running fine on my last laptop at this resolution using VGA to connect. I'd prefer to stay away from registry changes, etc. I think i'm missing something simple, but not sure. Very frustrating and can't believe things just don't hook up and work! Any suggestions?
