permission to use speeds of thunderbolt, USB, PCIe in my backup calculator page?

I need

  • permission to use PCIe, thunderbolt, usb speeds
  • have knowledge of the frame encoding size for each, for instance, 8b/10b or 128b/132b?
  • where can I find thunderbolt, pcie specs to purchase/get permission? I found usb.

I thought I would start at Intel since they make the chipsets.

this is going in a backup calculator that takes the net rather than gross speed speed and determines the backup time therefrom.
