Did you create the app from scratch or did you use App Designer?  If you used App Designer, when you create the project it asks you which UI framework you want to use? What option did you select (jQuery Mobile/App Framework/Twitter Bootstrap/Topcoat)?

Thanks,

Swati

Hi FiXo,

I tried this on a Nexus 5. The issue exists when debugging on device. But its fine once you build the app. The placeholder text disappears.

Hope this helps.
