Hi,
I am evaluating 3D camera for my applications. I am wondering if via scene perception what accuracy I can get in determining distance of objects from the camera.
So for example if I point the camera to a car from top, can I find out the location of edges of the car? Or if I point the camera at the car door, how accurately can I know the location of the door handle? Similarly for gas tank opening?
If I wanted to try some of these which example would I start from (using R200 camera?)
Thanks,
Deepak

The accuracy will depend a lot of facts include the quality of depth image, the object shape, the refection of object. Both EPV and SP MW can do the measurement in our RealSense SDK. You can try both sample apps @C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\RSSDK\sample\RF_MeasurementEP and C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\RSSDK\sample\RF_MeasurementSP. Thanks!
