Any plans soon, to incorporate SSE-2 fp optimizations into
DVF?

Soon? No. I do expect that a version of Visual Fortran in 2002 will generate SSE2 instructions. CVF actually does quite well on many applications without SSE2. For best performance on a Pentium 4 with CVF 6.5, use the Pentium II/Pro settings. An August update will have an explicit Pentium 4 setting.
