How do I make my 900p 480GB the boot drive in a Dell XPS

Brand new Dell XPS with a SATA C: drive and Win 10.

Installed Optane 900p 480GB. It is recognized as my E: drive and functions properly.

Cloned C: to E:.

But the Optane drive does not appear in the BIOS as a boot option.

What BIOS or settings or steps are needed to make this my boot drive?

Thanks!

Hello mgarnice,

Thank you for your interest in the Intel® Optane™ SSD 900P series.

Considering the fact that the SSD worked as expected before the cloning process, the recognition issue may be either related to that process or, as you mention, the BIOS/setup process. Either case, our suggestion is to contact the corresponding technical support team

If you consider that the cloning process is not the root cause of the issue, please contact your system manufacturer's technical support team http://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/us/en/4 http://www.dell.com/support/incidents-online/us/en/4 to receive the appropriate steps to configure your BIOS.

In case you have another question, don't hesitate to contact us.

Regards,

Andres V.
