DRAM power monitoring on intel server board

Hi all.

Since the release of HASWELL-E CPU. I am considering using the new CPU with new server board intel SC2600CWT.

But the very thing that I care is to measure DRAM power, which a lot of comment claim that intel SC2600CP seems to be the only viable choice.

My question is :

1.Which server board should I choose?

                        2. is the board like intel SC2600CWT which is compatible with DDR4 compatible with DDR3 DIMM?

Hello Zhu,

Sorry to miss this posting. Are you still having issues or have you already answered your questions? I don't know whether these boards support measuring the DRAM power. If the MSR for DRAM energy is always 0 there may still be chipset registers with DRAM power info.
