Want to count L2 data cache misses without prefetching

I was using PAPI to measure L2 data cache misses but the measurement seems to be affected by data prefetching. I am not sure whether my CPU provides a way to do measure cache misses without prefetching. If so, how can I do it?

CPU model: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-4620 0 @ 2.20GHz (45)
