Intel NUC X15 LAPAC71H: Thunderbolt port stopped working

Hi, recently my Thunderbolt port has stopped recognising devices that get plugged in. I don't believe any power is coming from it at all.

I've had similar problems before when I plugged in a screen drawing tablet that after a while wouldn't turn on when it was plugged in, I assumed it was the cable since it felt cheap and switched it, and found it worked again. A little while later and the same thing happened.

I figured that instead of buying yet another USB-C cable I would get a hub and use the original clunky splitter cable that I knew worked with it while getting a few extra ports (the original cable is USB-C on one end which plugs into the tablet, with the other end being a HDMI and USB input). I was disappointed to find that the hub itself didn't seem to power on and can't power anything. Since then I've been trying to fix it.

I also noticed that the driver pack for this model didn't include a Thunderbolt Software Installer like the other models, when the instructions said to install it. Is there a reason why that is? I managed to download the Thunderbolt Control Center from the Microsoft Store figuring that it might help, but it took some digging to get there and didn't end up fixing my issue. I'll provide a bunch of screenshots showing what it details and showing what it looks like on device manager. I don't know if I have installed the wrong drivers or something in an attempt to get them.

I have Windows 10 on this model and figured I'd turn here for help instead of ASUS since this is where I get my drivers from, and I believe that could be the issue. Also I cannot find any information at all on that site when it comes to my model.

Hopefully I've provided enough information.

I wanted to edit the post but I can't figure out how to. Regardless, I did find a solution for this, where it was suggested to unplug the charger from the computer for an hour or longer and then plug it back in again. I did so when the computer was shut down and it miraculously worked when I started up the computer again. I have no idea how this wizardry works but it's something I wouldn't have thought of doing since the model of computer I have has a notoriously short battery life and often just stays plugged in at my work station. Turns out there was nothing wrong with the second usb c cable I got and it works fine. Now my only issue is that the HDMI port on the hub doesn't seem to work, but I feel like that's more a problem with the hub rather than the port it's plugged into now. But my first issue is resolved now so that's good.
