Thunderbolt video ceases when nVidia card installed

Hi all,

I am a first time poster, and I appreciate the resource this group provides!

I have a NUC9QN, product code: BKNUC9V7QNX

I run a monitor and keyboard/mouse via the USB-C port on the back (one of two ports). Everything runs fine until I install a nVidia GeForce 1660 ti graphics card in the PC. Then, the monitor and thunderbolt dock I use with it no longer receive any signal from the PC.

I dont need the graphics card for a monitor, it is used to help process photos only, but I do need the USB -C/Thunderbolt 3 port to run the monitor/keyboard combo.

We are at our wit's end to figure out have to be able to use both the usb c port for monitor and the graphics card installed.

Thank You,

Paul
