I have an Asus G74sx I pulled the factory chip out to put in this one the WiFi works but it wont install drivers for the Bluetooth. I have downloaded the software and when I run it, it hangs up. the message I get is: "There is a problem with the Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." Any help resolving this would be appreciated.

Hello spyderchicken,

*It is very important that you know that this kind of integration is not supported by Intel as the original wireless card that came already installed is modified by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) to fit their system, This kind of modification may include: change in the voltage, features added or removed...etc. Also, wireless installation and use is subject to regulatory approval and the adapter purchased my not be supported by your local regulations. Only your system manufacturer is entitled to provide the list of validated and certified adapters that are compatible with your system, for further information on this matter, we suggest that you please contact them directly. Furthermore, Intel® Wireless Adapters for laptops are meant to be professionally installed by the OEM technicians on certified systems only. Check the links below:

In order to help you with this issue, we recommend that you uninstall all drivers related to the Intel® Wireless Card that you have previously installed and install the drivers from this link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/default.aspx Intel® Download Center - Begin installation by the Bluetooth* driver first and then the rest.
