AC 9260 BLE data length extension problem

Hello,

I'm use AC 9260 adapter in desktop PC. This PC used as master and custom board as slave in BLE connection.

I have problem:

AC9260 send opcode LL_LENGTH_RSP with:

Max RX octets: 251

Max RX time: 328 microseconds

Max TX octets: 251

Max TX time: 328 microseconds

But in case with 251 octets shell set 2120 microsecond like send a my custom board:

Max RX octets: 251

Max RX time: 2120 microseconds

Max TX octets: 251

Max TX time: 2120 microseconds

 

I believe that because of this, sending packet with length of more then 20 bytes (26 bytes in my case) splits into many parts (2 or 3) instead of coming in one packet.

Why AC 9260 in DLE = 251 sets 328 microseconds ?

1- Are you integrating the Intel® Wireless-AC 9260 on a custom system/motherboard? Are you a system manufacturer/builder and-or are you deploying a software application?

 

2- Operating system (OS) used on your system/custom board:

 

3- Is the information you shared output from a specific software or from an OS shell? Please provide details:

 

4- Could you please elaborate more on what you are trying to achieve?

Hi, Andrew.

Thanks for quickly response.

  1. Board integrated in standard PC. I use our software application for WIndows.
  2. WIndows 10 LTSC 1809. Custom board with nRF52832 chip and S132 stack fw.
  3. Information from nRF sniffer firmware and Wireshark analyzer.
  4. I try to send BLE packets more then 20 bytes long. In custom board I set MTU=247 and DLE=251. After connect to PC with AC9620 I see that packets (28 or 35 bytes length) is fragmented in L2CAP, but they must come in whole and not in pieces.

Could you please provide sniffer logs from the tools you are using? (For instance: nRF sniffer* and Wireshark*).

Ok, I use "nRF Sniffer for Bluetooth LE" version 2.0.0

on board "nRF52 DK" (PCA 10040)

with firmware : "sniffer_pca10040_1c2a221.hex".

We have released a new driver for the Intel® Wireless-AC 9260, driver version is 21.60.2.

Could you please test this new driver and report back the behavior?

I do apologize for the misunderstanding. That is correct, the link you posted refers to the latest driver for Wireless Bluetooth which is part of the latest release for the Intel® Wireless-AC 9260, package version 21.60.0:
