Lenovo e570 20H5009MUS supposed to have AC8265.
Was Windows 7 upgraded or restored to Windows 10 - original Lenovo software was wiped off.
No wireless adapter showing in device manager - "show hidden devices" is on.
Bluetooth is showing there - AC8265 handles both?
There is no physical wifi radio switch. Installed Lenovo service center and hotkey software. Function key shows only bluetooth on/off. Lenovo's troubleshootier also doesn't see the wireless, nor does Windows network troubleshooter. Took a quick look under laptop, the adapter is present.
In BIOS, it was enabled; we disabled it then re-enabled it, it didn't help.
What troubleshooting can we try before invoking warranty support ?

AHA!
I see now that this card is ONLY 64 bit compatible.
So we need to reinstall Windows in 64 bit and forget about using any 16 bit programs on this unit.
We'll need to purchase another laptop with 32-bit compat card for its intended use.

Hello geekttott,
Thanks for posting in our communities. We understand that your wireless adapter is not showing up at Windows 10* Device Manager after a system restore.
Please try a manual installation of the wireless driver. We recommend to test the https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-edge-laptops/thinkpad-e570/20h5/20h5009mus/downloads?linkTrack=Caps:Body_SearchProduct&searchType=5&keyWordSearch=20H5009MUS driver provided by Lenovo* before the https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005559/network-and-i-o/wireless-networking.html Intel generic drivers.

If the issue persists, please provide us with the Intel® System Support Utility report, also please check if there are any "Unknown" or "Other" devices listed in Device Manager
1. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility-for-Windows-?product=91600 Download the latest Intel® SSU.
2. While connected to your WiFi network, run the scan. Select to include "everything."
3. Name and save the report.

Thank you for your assistance.
The Lenovo page offers the driver for 64 bit Windows 10 only.
On this laptop, it has WIndows 10 installed in 32 bit mode (CPU is 64 bit though)
Would this be the same driver needed or not ?

Hello geeketteott,
Thanks for your reply. It is good to know you were able to find the reason why the adapter is not showing up at Device Manager.
As you mentioned, Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 is compatible with Windows 10* 64-bit only. You can find the supported operating systems for each Intel Wireless adapter here:

Best regards,
Eugenio F.
