Antenna for Intel AC9260.

Hello,

We are currently developing a IOT device and intend to use the AC9260 for wireless connectivity. We would like to use a flexible planar antenna like the Molex 146153-0300.

We intend for the device to be sold worldwide including Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand.

We presume, that we can just use an internal WiFi antenna that will be suitable for our design with the Intel WiFi module and than use FCC ID of that WiFi module.

Because the antenna is passive we assume that it does not need any other FCC certification?

Would we need any additional certification to use this antennas with Intel WiFi module?

In this case, wireless antennas are generally provided by each original equipment manufacturer (OEM), as they will need to fit each computer and may be subject to country-specific regulatory requirements. You can check more information on this topic here:

In case you need a different certification to the ones listed in the previous article or in case you need to create a certification, you will need to contact a 3rd party company in order to get assistance with it.
