Bluetooth problem Intel AX210

Hello, 

I have just bought and installed the Intel AX210 network adapter. I have upgraded from MediaTek MT7921 on Aspire 3 15. Upon installing, I tried to connect my AirPods Pro 2 with my computer via Bluetooth. But for some reason it instantly says couldn't connect with red font and it went the same way for every other Bluetooth devices I had connected. What can I do to fix this problem? Is it because this Intel AX210 is not compatible with my computer?

We understand how frustrating it can be to upgrade your hardware and immediately run into a wall like this, especially when the issue affects every Bluetooth device rather than just one. That said, we want to be upfront with you: based on what you have described, we are not able to definitively identify the root cause of this Bluetooth failure from our end.


What we can share is that when an Intel wireless adapter is installed in a system it was not originally shipped with, compatibility is not guaranteed. Acer, as the manufacturer of your Aspire 3-15, controls the firmware, BIOS, and hardware configurations of that specific platform including which wireless adapters are approved for use in it. The Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 may not have been validated or cleared for your exact system variant, and this can result in unexpected behaviour such as what you are experiencing with Bluetooth.


As outlined in Intel Support Article, before installing or replacing a wireless adapter in a laptop, the system manufacturer should be consulted to confirm the adapter is approved and supported for that specific system and region. Since this step involves the Aspire 3 15 platform, we would recommend reaching out to Acer Support directly. They will be best positioned to advise whether the AX210 is compatible with your machine and whether any additional configuration is required on their end.
