Good evening Von,

I am starting a new thread because I can no longer post in the previous thread.  When I attempt, I get an error which says "The message subject contains [## ###], which is not permitted in this community. Please remove this content before sending your post."

Humorously, I cannot actually type the numbers from the error message into the above [ ] because that results in this post also being rejected as "not permitted".  I also cannot post a link to the previous thread, because the thread's link contains those numbers.  Please see the attached screenshots.

I also attempted to email you following our previous emails, but that results in an auto-bounceback.

Regrettably, changing the MIMO setting had no effect.

 With regards to the Gateway:

- The antennas are attached;

- There are no phone ports connected; and

- I cannot modify most of the settings or the channel, as these are locked by the ISP.

But I note that no other computer on our network is having the same problem as mine, so I'm not sure the Gateway is the issue.

 Thank you for your assistance,

Bryson

Hello, Bryson.

Thank you for starting a new thread and providing details about the issues you're encountering. I understand the frustration with the error message restrictions. Let's proceed with troubleshooting the MIMO setting and exploring other potential factors affecting your network connectivity. However, I need to conduct further checking and research regarding this matter. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Hello, Bryson.

I appreciate your patience. Upon further investigation, I suggest you perform a clean boot to eliminate other distractions:

  1. Uninstall all third-party anti-virus software and system optimization software (e.g. 360, PC Manager, 360 Desktop, Master Lu, Agent, Accelerator, VM, etc.) from your device.
  2. Then right-click on the start menu →RUN→ input: msconfig
  3. (Press Enter)
  4. Click on "Services" above
  5. Tick "Hide all Microsoft services" below (be sure to check it)
  6. Click "Disable All".
  7. Then right-click on the Start Menu → Task Manager,
  8. (Click on "Details" at the bottom),
  9. Click "Launch" at the top,
  10. Right-click the item whose Status is displayed as Started, and then select Disable. (Disable all startup items.) )
  11. Then restart your computer (instead of shutting it down and turning it on, you have to select "Restart").

Moreover, I would like to share with you this article, Quick Checks to Improve or Fix Wi-Fi Connection Issues, and kindly refer to "How do you identify interference or contention from other Wi-Fi networks?". Software tools such as MetaGeek inSSIDer* help to select the best channel for your access point or wireless router. If you're using the 5 GHz bands, use channels 36, 40, 44, or 48 based on the link or article I shared. For Windows Event ID 6062 \Device\NDMP1 error, If you're using proxies, game accelerators, external network cards, virtual network cards, USB network shares, network monitoring software, etc., it is recommended to disable them.

Additionally, have you tried updating your Wi-Fi/BT driver and your system's BIOS to the latest version? If not, I suggest you update the BIOS and Wi-Fi/BT driver on this link.

Good afternoon Von,

I've updated my BIOS and drivers to no effect.  I also don't detect any network interference with inSSIDer.

However, playing around with inSSIDer has revealed something strange: While inSSIDer is running, the problem stops happening.  Normally it happens every few minutes no matter what I'm doing, but while inSSIDer is running it stops completely.

I've been running inSSIDer for hours now with no issues, and while inSSIDer is running no new Netwtw14 messages appear in the logs.  However, the moment I turn inSSIDer off the problem starts again.

I cannot explain this, but I've tried it multiple times now for several hours each time.  Perhaps someone more experienced than me can use this information to help diagnose the problem.

Thanks kindly,

Bryson

Hello Bryson,

I'm contacting you on behalf of my technician, Robbie. Review your conversations with my technicians, I'd like to share that sources of interference are not always obvious. Many times, you may be receiving interference from hidden wireless networks or even some electronics. Interference from electronics is more prevalent with the 2.4 GHz radio spectrum, but such interference also exists on the 5 GHz radio spectrum.

If you are using a low channel width on a free channel and are still seeing wireless disconnects (even while near your wireless access point), then the issue could be something else occupying that spectrum. Try experimenting with other channels or channel bandwidth. If you are using a DFS channel and in the US, I'd recommend using the Channels 50-144.

Looking at the support logs, the channel 157 used was not listed in DFS channels in your country. I'd suggest checking the supported channels with your ISP router/Access Point support for more information on the available channels for.

Good evening Ernesto,

If inSSIDer is any indication, then I don't think this is a channel interference issue.  Also no other devices on the network are suffering the same issue.

Thank you for your continued assistance,

Bryson
