I bought 6250 adapter. Removed old one 6150. restarted. installed latest drivers 16,.. and new wifi adapter dont appear as WIFI. It is like LAN adapter without attached cable. I tried everything... Voodoo spells to.. No succes. this 6250 adapter instaled on other laptop working as daual band wifi without problems. why?? windows 7 64bit. Main problem 6250 for operating system not wifi card. Recognised just like wired LAN adapter.

It may be that the Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 is not compatible with your system as the original adapter (Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N + WiMAX 6150) has been tested, certified and approved to work with your system with no issues due to the modifications applied by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and these modifications may even include antenna type, voltage and also the BIOS might limit the access.. Our recommendation is for you to contact your computer manufacturer to see if the can provide assistance regarding customized drivers. All drivers found in our support page are generic and may not fit requirements of your system.
*Please bear in mind that Intel does not support integrations and that wireless hardware installation and use is also subject of regulatory approval and the adapter purchased my not support your local regulations. Only your system manufacturer is entitled to provide the list of validated and certified adapters that are compatible with your system, so for more information, please contact them directly. As our best effort to assist you with this. You may clean uninstall all drivers related to the previous wireless card directly from device manager and then install the drivers for the new adapter in order to see if it will work. Please access the links below:

* We also have noticed that in the pictures you have provided, there is the Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1030 which seems to be fully operational, can you confirm that?

i don't know why and where N1030 sill in my laptop, but it is.. i removed for double band useless 6150 and replaced with on other laptop success tested 6250.
N1030 still somewhere there and working fine. but just like 2.4GHz. In my apartment 2.4GHz overloaded all channels.around 24 spots available... 5HGz absolutely free from any traffic.
6250 don't appear like wifi interface... like Ethernet!!! interface ok, like wimax via Intel software ok, but not like wifi..very strange for me find-out that situation. and on other laptop same 6250 100% perfect So why i asking here for advice. I tried everything you said.. uninstall all wifi stuff, reinstall, disable integrated 1030, enable, different driver versions for 6250, different Intel wifi software, BIOS option enable integrated NIC, disable, pray, voodoo dance around, scream, laugh, talk friendly with laptop, angry, hit wall with that laptop, explore registry, google, but nothing helps..

At this point, the best option would be to contact the OEM technician for further assistance since you have said that you have removed the Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1030 for the Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N + WiMAX 6150 and then later for the Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 and for some reason it is still showing. You can also contact our support online either by phone or chat depending on your region. SOLVED!!

After 1030 funded, removed and 6250 replaced there - everything alright. 6250 appear not like Ethernet only but as wifi as-well. With 5GHz ability
