I made some changes in Regedit to point to the correct DSAtray.exe location and added it for startup in Task Manager. The icon that used to show in the taskbar no longer shows up even though it is a loaded process according to Task Manager. Version 25.2.15.9. I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled twice, no change to the improper installation of DSATray.exe.

Hello iota2k,
Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.
Can you confirm that by uninstalling and reinstalling the DSAtray.exe, these were the exact steps you've tried below? If not, please proceed with the steps:
- Open a new tab on any web browser (Firefox, Chrome, or Edge.).
- Download and run the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant Uninstaller .
- Accept the terms & conditions.
- Click on Next.
- Click on Close.
To address the issue you're experiencing with DSAtray.exe, here are a few steps that you can try:
- Double-check the changes you made in Regedit to ensure that the path to DSAtray.exe is correct. Sometimes, a small typo can cause issues.
- Ensure that DSAtray.exe is correctly added to the startup programs in Task Manager. You might want to remove it and add it again to see if that resolves the issue.
- Try running DSAtray.exe in compatibility mode. Right-click on the executable file, select 'Properties,' go to the 'Compatibility' tab, and choose an earlier version of Windows.
- Make sure to run DSAtray.exe as an administrator. Right-click on the file and select 'Run as administrator' to see if this helps the icon appear in the taskbar.
- Ensure that you have the latest version of the software. Sometimes, updates can fix bugs related to taskbar icons.
- If the issue started after making changes in Regedit, consider performing a system restore to revert to a point before the changes were made. I highly suggest contacting Microsoft team for this.

Hopefully, one of these steps will help resolve the issue with the DSAtray.exe icon not appearing in the taskbar. I will wait for your reply.

I've been troubleshooting software for almost 50 years. This version of DSA or the installation app is malfunctioning or incorrect. That's it. Used to work, new version, doesn't work.

Hello iota2k,
I'm currently addressing the issue you've reported and need some clarification for the following:
- Where is the Intel DSA located, and what is the incorrect directory location?

If you're not comfortable in sharing the logs here, I also sent you a private message via email, so you may respond to it and attach the logs. *Please make sure to check your email inbox, as well as your junk and spam folders, as it may go directly to those folders.
I'll be waiting for your response.
