Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 - limited channel width?

No 40MHz - options are either 20MHz Only or Auto. Why this limitation?

With Intel, speed is 72.2 Mbps. With a free VPN it's 100Mbps. With wifi direct it's 1.0Gbps. Obviously I'd use wifi direct, but it keeps disconnecting every 15sec or so.

My laptop is Asus ROG G752VS. Am I stuck with this particular Intel at 20MHz?

Thanks for posting.The reason why there are only two options; Auto or 20 MHz is because the channel width is defined by the router or access point.
