This morning my laptop was frequently disconnecting from my wireless network so foolishly I thought that upgrading the Intel Pro/Set Wireless software would help. Of course what happened was that during the install I got a message that the old software could not be uninstalled so the new install could not continue. Then I found that the icon for the old software was no longer on the task bar. I tried to unistall the old software but I got a message that it could not be uninstalled because it was corrupted and I should reinstall it. When I tried to reinstall I got a message that it could not install because the old software could not be removed (Error 1714). So I figured I would just use the Windows software to connect, but it keeps telling me there are no available networks even though I know that there are at least a dozen around here. Anybody know how to fix this? Thanks.
