Intel AX211 Connection drops on Wi-Fi 6 networks

Hello, I am a student, and have recently purchased a DELL precision 5570, which is amazing except for one issue. It came equipped with the Intel AX211 Wi-Fi Card, which has so far prevented me from using my laptop fully.

The symptoms include failure to connect to 802.11ax networks that use 6GHz Band, random connection drops on the rare occasion that it does connect, I get random speed drops, random connection drops, and no matter how much I installed the drivers it did not seem to fix it. I am using the latest 23.70.2.3, and the here are the steps I did to sort of Circumvent the issue:

I went in the network adapter properties in Device Manager. In the advanced tab I disabled the 6GHz band, that seemed to fix the issue, except for the fact that my university has Wi-Fi 6 networks all around the campus, and being only on 5GHz really limits the download/upload speeds I can get.

I have downloaded Intel DSA to try and perhaps download other intel drivers I am missing, as well as going on the dell website to check their drivers for the chipset.

So far, I still cannot use my AX211 card's capabilities fully, i am open to any suggestions towards solving this stupid issue that should not have happened in the first place.

My laptop's specs:

I7-12800h

NVIDIA RTX A2000 8GB

Intel AX211 160 MHz

32GB DDR5

Although you mentioned you are using the latest driver version 23.70.2.3, try to check if there are any newer drivers available directly from Intel's website or Dell's support page. Sometimes, manufacturers release updates that address specific issues. It is need to update your laptop's BIOS/UEFI firmware. Dell often releases firmware updates that can improve hardware compatibility and performance. You can also check in Device Manager, go to the properties of the Intel AX211 Wi-Fi card. Under the "Power Management" tab, uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" and see if this helps with the connection stability. Set the settings such as "Preferred Band" are set to "No Preference" or "Auto" to allow the adapter to connect to the best available network. You may need to reach out to Dell's support, as Intel has limited scope in addressing this issue since it pertains to an OEM device, specifically your Dell laptop.
