Hi everyone,
I’m Mark Pousee, running into a frustrating issue with my Intel Wi‑Fi 6E AX211 adapter on Ubuntu. Everything works fine after a fresh boot, but after about 20–30 minutes of usage, my wireless connection just drops even though the network still appears available. I noticed the download speed plummets to near-zero before the disconnect, yet connection stays “up.”
What I’ve tried so far:
- Updated to the latest driver version (22.220.0.4) hasn’t fixed it.
- Disabled power-saving features via Device Manager (uncheck “allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”) only marginal improvement sometimes.
- Swapped to a USB wireless dongle the connection remains stable, so it's only the Intel module that's acting up.
Has anyone seen this behavior with the AX211 on Linux (or even Windows)? Is it known for power management quirks or heat-related drops? I’d love suggestions whether tweaks to iwlwifi.conf, firmware rollbacks, or even BIOS adjustments.
Would appreciate any insight or workarounds. Thanks in advance!
