Hello,
I am trying to use the 802.11mc feature on the intel BE200 wireless card, using ubuntu 24.04 w/ kernel 6.8. Based on other posts on this forum , I can see that it is supported by the hardware but not by the driver. How can this feature be enabled?
Thank you.

Hello wshunter,
Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.
For me to better understand and diagnose the issue further, let me ask you to provide detailed responses to the following questions. This information will help me isolate the problem and determine the most appropriate course of action moving forward.
- What is the brand and model of your system?
- What is the original OS of your system?
- Did you manually install this BE200 on your system as an upgrade or is it embedded on your system?
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
Best regards,
Michael L.

Hello,
Brand/Model: Intel NUC
OS: Ubuntu 22.04
Kernel version: 6.8.0-60-generic
The card was manually installed by replacing the old PCIE wifi card.

Right now the Intel BE200 doesn’t have Linux driver support for 802.11mc (RTT). Intel hasn’t enabled it yet, so the feature won’t work on Ubuntu 24.04 with kernel 6.8. Best bet is to keep an eye on future driver or firmware updates.

Hello,
Does intel have plans to enable this feature in the future? Why add the feature in the hardware if they are not going to add the driver support for the feature?

Hello wshunter,
I hope you are having a good day.
I am sending another follow up and I hope that you are now talking to the manufacturer of the system since the card is manually installed.
Since we have not heard back from you, I need to close this inquiry.
If you need further assistance, please post a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Thank you and have a great day.
Best regards,
