Wifi adapter AC 9560 160MHz driver version 23.110.0.5. Speaking to Cisco 9800 wlc version 17.9.6
The above driver supports DOT11R but when I connect to Work when I have connected to another wifi network like my home network it is not seen by the Cisco WLC as DOT11R capable. If I turn off the wifi adapter and delete the RSN pmkid on the controller and rejoin it sees it as DOT11r capable. My question is on windows is their a way of asking the Wifi adapter to prefer Fast transition and 802.1x first as it connects and fall back to 802.1x if it can't connect

Hello u2637ps,
Thank you for posting in Intel community Forum.
For me to further check this, please help provide the following details:
- What is the brand and model of your system?
- Was it working fine before?
- If yes, did you change any settings before the issue started?
- Can you share some screenshots if you receive an error message?
- Did you upgraded the wireless controller or this is the original embedded wireless controller of your system?
- What are the troubleshooting steps that you tried so far?
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
Best regards,

Hi
What is the brand and model of your system
Lenovo T490 wifi
Was it working fine before?
It does connect but it does not connect on the Cisco Device as DOT11r if it has been connected to an alternative Wifi also if there is no PMK cache on the Wifi Lan Controller it will connect as DOT11r
If yes, did you change any settings before the issue started?
No setting were changed from when it fails to connect as DOT11r or when it connects as RSN
Screen shots of error?
No error as such exists rather depending on the scenario above it connects as DOT11r or it doesn't.
Did you upgraded the wireless controller or this is the original embedded wireless controller of your system
No change has occurred since before I have seen the error.
What are the troubleshooting steps that you tried so far?
Checked out that the synopsis can be replicated and it can
Raised a Cisco TAC case.
