Intel Killer AX1675i probe request issue

Hi Intel staff,

I'm having trouble connecting to a Wifi 6E router using the built-in Intel AX1675i network card in my laptop. I manually entered the SSID and password for the Wifi network (with 6E broadcast disabled), but I'm unable to establish a connection. When I used Wireshark to sniff packets, I noticed that the probe request does not include the AP's SSID but instead carries a short ID. Moreover, the short SSID does not match. Can you help me identify the issue?

WIFI SSID: 6G222

Password: 12345678

Hi, Bababi.

Thank you for waiting. To better understand the situation and to assist you more efficiently, we need some information that can help us fix the issue. Kindly see the following:

  • What is the brand and model of the router/modem that you are using?
  • Have you tried connecting this laptop to another router/modem to rule out the issue?
  • Are you attempting to connect to a hidden network?
  • What are the other steps that you have taken to troubleshoot the issue?
  • Have you tried installing the wifi driver from the ACER website?
  • Are you trying to connect to 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or both?

Looking forward to your response. Have a nice day ahead!

Best regards,
