Greetings.

I get notification that a new version of Intel (R) Connectivity Performance Suite version 50.26.2201.2123 is available, but when I try to install it, I get notification that the version is already installed.

How do I get the intel driver & assistant software to stop showing me that the update is available when I already have it installed please?

Hello Afro,

Thank you for posting in the Intel Community.

Regarding your concern, please be advised that Intel DSA offers generic drivers for general purposes, that may not be compatible with other drivers specially to an OEM device.

System manufacturers customize Intel drivers so Intel adapters will work on their system. With this, it is recommended to install the customized drivers from the manufacturers' site.

However, Intel DSA has a feature that allows users the option of hiding or snoozing the notifications for available updates for different periods of time.

How to hide a specific update notification in Intel DSA:

  1. Open Intel® Driver & Support Assistant.
  2. Expand the update details by clicking the caret (dropdown arrow) next to the update.
  3. Select the checkbox labeled “Hide just this update.”

Once selected, Intel DSA should no longer notify you about that specific update.

In addition to the update notification behavior of Intel Connectivity Performance Suite, may I know if you are also experiencing any performance or connectivity issues with your device? If so, please provide the following details so we can further assist you:

  • Are you using a laptop or desktop? What is the exact system model?
  • Is the device used for personal or corporate purposes?
  • What is the exact wireless network adapter installed on your system?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried to isolate the issue?

I look forward to your response to confirm whether the recommendation above resolves the issue and to review the requested information, should further investigation be needed.

Best regards,
